This semesters concert was wonderful and it was because of YOU and your support!  We couldn't ask for better family, friends, and fans!  Thank you for making this semester's concert AWESOME and for celebrating our new album, "Woven," with us!  

This semester is bittersweet as we send two of our Senior members off to other states.  Ian Anson will be heading to Indiana University to pursue his Masters degree and Tanner Allison will be heading off to Colorado to begin his life in the "real world."  We love them both so much and ask that you join us in prayer for these two men of God as they further their journey in Him.

But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. Therefore, beloved, since you look for these things, be diligent to be found by Him in peace, spotless and blameless, and regard the patience of our Lord as salvation. - 2 Peter 3:11-15

This semester in Psalm we are going to be contemplating on the idea of expectancy. Every book in the New Testament speaks of Jesus Christ's second coming in glory except for Philemon, 2 and 3 John (And those are each one chapter long!). It was obviously a very prominent aspect of the lives and worship of early Christians. It caused them to view their possessions and circumstances in a way that was completely counter-cultural.

As we progress through the semester, we will look at how a perspective of expectancy shapes what we choose to spend our time on and how we minister to others. What if we lived every moment fully realizing that it might be the moment Christ chooses to come back. What would we want to be doing in that moment? Psalm100]]><![CDATA[Unexplainable]]>Tue, 06 Oct 2009 08:47:18 -0800http://www.singpsalm.com/1/post/2009/10/unexplainable.html    This semester we in Psalm have been focusing on the theme Unexplainable. When we look at Christian history, we see radical lives that don't make sense. We see people bursting from an upper room and speaking in languages they've never learned. We see a man doing his best to cut off Christianity, only to become one of the greatest instruments of God. We see a man being stoned to death, all the while praising God and begging the people stoning him to simply see Jesus the way he sees Him.
    The American church often blends in so completely with the surrounding culture that it's hard to see anything out of the ordinary in it. It turns into a facility where you can come to get a little bit of Jesus to sprinkle into your life. But Jesus' call was to take up our crosses, lay down our lives, and follow Him.
    We want to be unexplainable. We want our lives to be so counter to the culture that people who know anything about us cannot describe us without God. We want to love sacrificially, treating others as more important than ourselves. We want to glorify God by allowing Him to glorify Himself in us.
