History...

In the fall of 1999, the Lord placed a vision on the heart of Paul Stanger Lee, a UNC Sophomore, to start a Christian a cappella group on campus.  Witnessing the large following of secular a cappella groups on campus, Paul felt that having a Christian group would be a powerful and effective mode for spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.  He and fellow student Sara Keeton organized the foundation of the group and became officially recognized by the University in November of 1999.
Auditions were held on February 1-4 of 2000 and on February 8th, 2000, the inaugural sixteen members of the group came together for the official founding of Psalm 100 Christian a cappella ensemble, the first Christian a cappella group at UNC.  The first public performance by the group was in the pit during Jesus Awareness week on March 9th 2000.  The first official concert by the group was on May 4th, 2000 in Gerrard Hall.
