Woven...Once upon a time and happily ever after. They're familiar phrases that for many bring to mind thoughts of childhood stories and fairy tales. Those stories, with their hero's and villains, meaningful plots and joyful endings stand in stark contrast to an age which says that life is a miscellaneous series of events, that there is no bigger picture, and that we are insignificant organisms. But the Bible gives a different perspective.
The Bible shows us a just God's eternal plan to glorify Himself. It tells of God's passionate love for a flawed humanity, so much that He came as a human to be sacrificed in our place for our flaws. It recounts His resurrection and commission for us to be His hands and feet in the world. In an aimless culture, we found that our lives can be woven into this tapestry of glory if only we allow Him to use us. |
